I suspect it is valid but I really want confirmation before I click those 3 steps. There's actually nothing on that screen that says it has anything to do with JWN -- therefore my caution.

we already have directv as one of its earliest subscribers (1994).
we have always had their latest dvrs(where we can skip commercials, pause, slo mo, resume, etc), have their premier insurance for all our hardware, and have their basic entertainment package, including movies, sports, family and music channels -- some over 150 channels that include local channels.
no premium channels.. i hear folks talking how they love those set top boxes (sticks, dongles, etc) that don't cost an arm and a leg -- a one time charge -- and can forever stream movies and programs.
Thanks, guys.

Can I save dollars by getting one of these pieces of hardware, then go with the cheapest DirecTV package at some $17 savings.

you can't move forward to a new, more interesting, possibly much happier life, if you're still looking behind at the former life.. there is so much obsession on here about what the wtbts is doing, and discussing all the forms of injustice and bullshit in the wtbts, or how to bring down the wtbts.
yes, their doctrines are crazy and they are a cult and cruel to boot.
move on.
Thirty-three years out of the B.S.? How about 37 years? Problem with me is that I still have two boys -- okay, men -- who remain. Plus several grandchildren whom I've never met, not taken fishing, swimming, golfing, or to the mall.
One never forgets the pain.

i had a thought today that might prove interesting.
i'm wondering if there are any illegal immigrants who are witnesses?
surely it would be a great position to be in as an illegal immigrant because you could play up your plight and prey on the sympathies of others within the congregation.
Pistoff: Some feel, and I am one, that it is a churches job to shepherd and feed the flock, no matter if they are 'illegal' or not. It's a place of worship, not an enforcement zone!
Really? The problem with WT is that it has indeed set itself up as an enforcement zone -- kangaroo trials disguised as judicial comittee meetings to chastise its membership for smoking, fornication, breaking Caesar's laws (um ... except for illegal immigration), etc., etc.
The enforcement zone of the local congregation is mirrored throughout the world in congregations which probably number close to 40,000 -- that zone is alive and well.
With due respect, the Watchtower double-standard is a mirror of Paul's double standard. Recall he is the very one who wrote Romans 13 and the same one who gave counsel to that runaway slave.
Repeating that earlier WT quote: " Take note that while Onesimus was in Rome the apostle Paul did not hand him over to the Roman authorities for punishment as a fugitive slave and possibly a thief. We know from his writings that Paul believed that a Christian should obey the law of the land, but plainly he did not consider it the congregation’s duty to serve as an arm of the government in policing individuals’ lives. "
Is it possible the early Christian Congregation did not have an enforcement zone like the JWs do?

"If this was tolerated, then wouldn't bank robbery, theft, forgery, and a whole entire list of other illegal behaviour be "okay" and "tolerated" as well?"
Very good point. Local cong elders are being put in the position of choosing, like at a buffet cafeteria, which of Caesars laws are valid enough to take some form of legal action. One of the WT judicial keys seems to be if a person is a practitioner of a certain behavior. We can therefore conclude:
1. If the perpetrator admits to being an illegal allien (remember: being one is not a one-and-done act -- it means one is practicing this behavior), then positions of congregation responsibility are not allowed. I know that in one congregation in Tennessee, elders will have nothing to do with turning that person in to the authorities. "We are not the police", they say.
2. If the perp admits to practicing other illegal behavior (see above) then disfellowshipping and other punitive measures are in order.
I see it as self serving for the WTS -- they want/need membership and turning these folks in would be contrary to their membership goals.

a flash mob is defined as a large public gathering at which people perform an unusual or seemingly random act and then disperse.. jws are now in on the act and were doing this in bath on unsuspecting convention delegates during their tours after the convention.
they did this on at least three seperate occassions.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3hmrqr-k4hq.
here's another one, not so public though.
opposite of grow would be decline right?
it is easier: read gro.w j backward:.
symptomatic with decline in truth, spirituality.. .

This may be an ideal template to create a statement against baptism of youngsters. Yes, while the Society slams infant baptism, they endorse baptisms of six-year-olds.
